Written translation
Documents, applications, business correspondence, business plans, texts needed for reference.
from €12 / pageRussian ↔ Estonian · Tallinn
I translate documents, websites, business copy and books between Russian and Estonian. First I understand the context, then I choose the words.
From a short document to a months-long book project. Before I start, I clarify the task, the reader and the result you need.
Website and online shop translation: see the business pageDocuments, applications, business correspondence, business plans, texts needed for reference.
from €12 / pageLanding pages, catalogues, product cards, legal pages. The brand voice stays, and the Estonian version sounds Estonian.
from €0.05 / wordGlossary, milestones, consistent terminology. A sample passage comes before a large project.
from €0.06 / wordI correct existing translations, human or machine: calques, mixed languages, unnatural phrasing, inconsistent terms.
from €9 / pageSpeech to clean text, a formatted transcript and a translation when needed.
from €3.50 / minConsecutive interpreting for meetings, by prior arrangement.
from €35 / hourSome texts need more than knowing two languages. You have to understand the period, the addressee, the genre, and what the text implies but does not say. I have a set way of working for such texts.
Before a large project I prepare a sample passage so that we agree on tone and approach.
I read the whole material, find out who wrote it and for whom, and check names, titles, terms and real-world details against sources.
Historical and archival material, old spelling, formulaic official language: I convey the meaning and keep the character of the period.
Handwritten texts and audio become clean text. Illegible passages are marked, not guessed.
Glossary, agreed style, interim drafts, final check. You see the progress along the way, not only the final result.
“A good translation does not feel translated. It sounds as if the text was written in the right language from the start.”
About
I live and work in Tallinn. I have been translating since my school years: my first paid project, a business plan, came before I finished secondary school. Later came websites, court decisions, language-course materials, documents and books.
I start with the purpose of the text and its terminology, then translate and re-read as the reader would. For long projects I agree on a glossary, milestones and realistic deadlines.
A file, a link or a description of the task.
I name the price, deadline and format.
I start after prepayment, then check language and layout.
You receive the file and may ask questions about the translation.
All prices are indicative and start from the amounts shown. The final amount depends on complexity, deadline and source quality. A page is 1,800 characters with spaces. I confirm the price before starting.
Rush work, large volumes and ongoing cooperation are quoted separately. I am not a sworn translator, so I do not provide certified translations.
